TIER the Advanced Project Payment Platform

TIER, the Advanced project’s simple payment and remittance platform, utilizes fintech and blockchain technology to apply a simple payment system using cryptocurrency in addition to traditional cash and card payments, and provides cross-border remittance services through the digital points, ‘en-Cash’. The Tier app was launched in June 2021 and is being used directly by African retailers such as PEP, Ackermans, Shoprite, Massmart, Dion Wired, Makro, Builders Warehouse, and Game, which use NedBank’s payment network through account linkage with NedBank Group, Africa’s largest banking group.
