[Announcement] TIER en-Cash is LIVE!
The en-Cash is currently accepted as payment and rewards at more than 20 small retailers in Cape Town and Newcastle, and users are increasingly using it as a means of remitting salaries and living expenses.
en-Cash Digital Points is an off-chain system that can be used in real life by AUC ecosystem participants through the TIER app. en-Cash is a network specialized for payment services and is built to work with the ERC-20-based AUC network using a separate consensus algorithm, enabling various communication methods between the public and off-chain networks.
Furthermore, en-Cash can be used for payments or transactions like traditional currency by central governments, institutions, and companies related to AUC. It can also be used for PG systems, virtual asset exchanges, pension payments, self-identification/authentication, O2O services, utility bill payments, fines, and overseas remittances.
The Advanced project is currently working on real-world applications of the AUC token in South Africa, enabling payments at local stores and utility bill payments using Nedbank’s Value-Added Services (VAS) API, and collaborating with various financial institutions to integrate deposit-only ATMs with the Advanced platform to simplify unnecessary procedures in the complex traditional banking system and offer lower fees, especially for the Unbanked in African region.
